Actually darker skin makes the bright colors stand out more. Personally I think it looks great. I would say, purple, lime green, hot pink, yellow, and maybe an aqua or teal color would look great. It's hard to say since I don't know your exact skin tone. Just remember to use lots of black around the lashes to make your eyes look bigger and make the colors ';pop'; out from your eyes... don't take the color anywhere past the crease of your eyelid... and if you do make sure it's only the faded part... and be sure to fade from really bright or thick color (by the lashes) to lighter and thinner color towards the direction of the brow. And for a twist, my favorite thing to do is make the base color lime green and then put purple, pink or dark blue right in the inner corners of the eye by my nose and blend them so it looks like an evening shadow with a snap!





I've put some examples below in the links for you... my advise would be to pick one you like and practice doing it on yourself until it looks like the picture. The best way to wear colored eye shadow on black girls is to blend and contour properly, you don't want it to look like you slopped it on or something (don't stick to one color, what's best usually is a dark and light shade both of different colors). Gold paired with something else (purple, dark green, dark blue) makes it look really good. Just go for the subtle colors, not the pastels or neons. And don't over match by matching the color of your shoes, top and eye shadow together! :)
Absolutely! Actually, the darker your skin tone, the more colors there are that can suit you. The only thing you really have to worry about is that sometimes eyeshadows tend to look a little chalky on African American skin, so you have to make sure you have decent bases or good quality products. Absolutely! All you really need to do is make sure you use a base shadow. I recommend using a high quality brush to apply a light coat of foundation to you eyelid and brow bone area, then using a base color so that any other vibrant colors have something to pop out against.
aw i think black girls look so cute with colorful eye shadow! which makes me a bit jealous because im white, and pasty, and pale, and i just look like i reached into a crayola box if i use colorful eye shadow, so color away! but within reason haha i mean i'm sure covergirl and teen vogue and other websites have skin- color palette guides. good luck!
yes!! definatly! they look way better in colorful eyeshadow than pale girls like me do, i admit im somethimes jelous haha :) anyway, id say yellows and emerald green!! a deep green stands out in a good way and looks beautiful on girls with a dark complection also, purple is an amazing color on dark girls wear it confidence and it will be even better!! you'll get tons of complements trust me!!! i hope i helped!! :))))

OF COUSE! Makeup is made for everyone (more like every girl...) but yeah you can!! Umm, i usually wear a color that i like, but i usually use darker colors like brown, silver, dark blue, dark pink, bronze, dark purple, etc.... so yeah... but i hoped that helped!!
yes we can and i think a little green missed with a darker shade will definitely be cute im in cosmetology school we learn this stuff find what accentuates you and what you like don't be afraid try different colors. different colors look good on different people

There was a dark skin girl at my old job that looked nice in her eye shadow. She liked mine and then she got her own. can't remember what color. Silver is kinda pretty though.

try out different shades and you will know which one goes best with you skin color...you said you are black but even among blacks there are different skin shades so can't really suggest any without knowing it..good luck
Go to youtube and search for makeup videos, they have a lot of colored girls doing makeup tutorials and I think most of it looks really good.
Not unless you really cant tell its there. I hate make-up on girls where you can totally tell it is there. It needs to look natural and suttle.
If you have light brown skin then you should use purple or silver, but if you have dark skin then use lighter colors like yellow! Just don't use a lot! :) hope this helps!

Theres Red and purple, silver.....not....maybe a little bit of pink if you have a light shade of brown.
of course. you should use a nice shimmery blue, and apply more closer to your lashes so it stands out.
