It's not necessary on wearing eyeshadow.
Mainly, it's eyeliner.Yet, if you do want the heavy goth look you may want to apply black eyeshadow.
It's quite simple due to the fact that you're a guy and you wouldn't want the whole glamorous shimmer look,so simple heavy black will be all that's need when it comes to eyeshadow.
As for eyeliner you may just want to apply a dark line over the lids of your eye and smudge it a bit with a q-tip.You may do this as well if you want a softer look to the eyeshadow q-tip works well to give you the kinda of smokey gothic look.
And I believe that pretty much all you need, you wouldn't want to apply blush or anything like that!
Good products:
Mac Cosmetics.
Smashbox
Or anything cheap really since all you really need is eyeliner :)
Remember that just because you're new to this whole ';gothic/mosher';!You don't need to obligately wear make-up so if you don't feel comfortable wearing make-up then you shouldn't knowing how guys that wear make-up receive a lot of negative feedbacks by others. But if you do feel comfortable and this is what you want then you should be just fine.
Also, you may checkout youtube and search for gothic makeup
here's a link i provided you with that may help you.

i don't usually see goth boys wearing eyeshadow. usually they're wearing eyeliner. i think eyeliner works much better. Report Abuse
just chuck anything on!
Coolio, best of luck with your new look! What i would suggest is 'Barry M' black eyeliner which you can get at a superdrug store. If you also look around the make up area in super drug you will see a really large variety of eye liner you could buy. To see if it is thick enough simply draw a small line on your hand with one of the testers. The line should'nt be too dry or have drastic jagged edges. And if any pieces broke off from the pencil then don't even consider buying it! Stretching your eye while applying helps because it makes it easier to draw on the skin as it will be straighter and smooth.
any kind of black eye liner should do!
apply it to the bottom of your eyes!
You should try going to a store... mabe Ulta beauty salon, And buying some nice eyeshadow. Than go to barns and noble and look for some books on makeup. Makeup for dummies or something like it. Good luck!
If you're able to get to Camden in London, then look around stores which sell gothic clothing, they might sell make up.
But there's always the good olde high street shop, Superdrug/Boots.
Sorry for going off-topic, but instead of wasting points, just stick to one question,
eg. ';I'm new to being a mosher/goth %26amp; I want to start wearing make up, any help?';
Then add your details and let the answers roll in.
But... Good luck with your new look...!
Hmm.. google the answers!
I would pick clinique eye liner!
