New eyeshadow application?

I'm tired of wearing the same ol played out eyeshadow style...Can someone give me some new tips on other ways i can apply it to make it stand out ? Makeup artist would be great or either people whom are really familar with what im saying :)New eyeshadow application?
A few spicy ideas...

Add a light colour to the inside corners of your eyes

Use a dark colour like you would eyeliner or over your eyeliner - top and bottom, use a complementing semi-dark colour on your lid and a light colour on the brow bone. You can also do a smokey eye this way.

You can also try wetting your eyeshadow for a little extra dynamics...

Another idea is to put eyeliner and mascara on the top 3/4 of your eye and the bottom 1/4 for an eye-opening effect...

Oh - one more thing. Maybelline.com If you pick your skin tone and eye colour, they will give you ideas of what colours look good and can make a huge difference in your appearance.New eyeshadow application?
of course! first off all, you should describe a little bit of how you regularly do your makeup! Can you provide a little detail?

For starters, I think you should have the right brush: A blending brush such as this:http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>

not a cheap sponge applicator, which does nothing but absorb the makeup pigment.

Second, try colors that would accentuate your skin tone, as a result it'll look more vibrant and prettier versus, slabbing on any color which can make you look trashy!

You'll need to learn how to blend, and colors that go well together! Try youtube makeup tutorials, they really help! Such as:

Another tip would be to add a little wing or cat-eye when applying eyeliner, instead of a plain old line. Preferably use liquid, instead of kohl(stick, which is also great for smoking your eyes out, also.)
