I have very dark long eyelashes naturally, but I have started to wear some black mascara recently. I have green eyes with a little bit of hazel. Sorry no pics. :( What colors would make my eyes pop? And where do you put eyeliner? On both lids? Smudged within the lash line? I really don't know anything about this stuff....any help would be great! Thank you!I'm new at eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner. Some tips?
Here's a few great makeup tips. I've actually sat in on one of Robert's seminars... he is fantastic!
Author, makeup expert, and Mary Kay product consultant, Robert Jones, has worked on thousands of faces. He says that many women hinder their beauty and make themselves look a lot older than they really are by misusing makeup. Here are the ten mistakes he sees most often.
1. Lip Liner Too Dark: ';Your lip liner should match the color of lipstick you are wearing or be just one shade darker than your natural lip color. After your lips, use the liner to fill in lips before applying lipstick or gloss.';
2. Overdrawing Lips: ';Never go outside the edge of your lips with line.';
3. Eye Shadow Not Blended Well: ';Use a good makeup brush to apply eye shadow. A foam applicator does not blend well.';
4. Intense Line Under Eye: ';Don't use a liner pencil under your eye. The line is too harsh. Instead, make a soft line of powder eye shadow with a thin brush. As a result, your eyes will be softly defined.';
5. Lips Thin and Harshly Colored: ';Don't wear red lipstick if your lips are thin. This accentuates he thinness. Go for more neutral shades instead.';
6. Wrong Color Foundation: ';Many women wear foundation that is too pink. Have a makeup expert help you find the perfect color for your skin tone. This way you won't have to guess.';
7. Face and Neck Different Colors: ';If you use a shade of foundation on your face that is darker than your neck, be sure to blend it down.';
8. Foundation In Cracks and Crevices of Face: ';Body heat causes foundation to melt. Always lightly powder foundation after applying.';
9. Ungroomed Eyebrows: ';More than any other facial feature, eyebrows express who we are. Many women need a professional makeup artist to help them define their brows and choose the right
color for fill in. Then they can maintain the shape and color.';
10. Eyelash Extremes: ';Wearing too much mascara and applying it incorrectly, and wearing no mascara at all, are both problems. When applying mascara, start at the base of the lash and move toward
the tips.';
If you only have a few minutes, Roberts says these things will make the biggest difference:
- Curl your eyelashes. This will open up your eyes and make them look bigger.
- Apply a little mascara--starting at the base.
- Put a dab of concealer under your eyes.
- Brush some blush across your cheekbones.
- Groom your eyebrows.
- Apply lip gloss.
To answer your question about what color of eye shadows for green/hazel eyes.... According to Robert, hazel eyes are a mix of green and brown or green and blue, so go with golden brown/warm taupes, and deep purples!!
Hope this helps!!
I'm new at eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner. Some tips?
well if your eyelashes are already natually black then just wear clear mascara and light shimmery violet eyeshadow will make your green eyes really stand out. thats what i use and it is so cool!!!I'm only twelve and my mom allows me to wear eyeliner cuz i use it properly so you pt it as close to your eyelids as possible and make it bigger from the inside and then let it get thinner as you go out. use brown eyeliner only because according to your avatar you have brown hair.
I got an eyeliner tip. This is what I do, I put it on all of my bottom eyelid, but because I can't get it to look right on the top one, I only put it on the corners of my eyes. It looks like it's on the whole top lid even though it's not and it actually looks good!
And with green eyes, I'd use browns for eyeshadow. It'll really make your eyes pop.
on an every day basis i put eyeliner on both inside lids... and then for parties and stuff you can put some on your top lids. Put it on really lightly and close to your lashline. Gold or brown eyeliner would look really good with green eyes. Also, wetting your eyelashes before putting on mascara can make it stay longer.
hazel eyes look good with brown or pinky eyeshadow. you can put eyeliner on both lids but its a preference. i like it along the top. both is sometimes too harsh but it depends. test out how you like it over the weekend so on monday your not screwed for school. smudged is pretty. for mascara (since i also have long black lashes) i recommend only using it on the top lashes, not bottom.
haha.. u sound liek my best friend sctually. ill tell u the same thing i told her
i personally. put eyeliner on my upper and lower lids. but its really on your personall opinion. i smudge mine with my eyelasher.
i think the upper eye lid was hard at first so mayeb you should just start by doin the bottom (it wont look bad).
play around untill u feel comforterable appling it.
oh n color wise.. i thin k browns would look nice. black mascara with brown eyeliner.
also wit brown eyeliner. if u mess up its not as noticible as the black eyeliner.
-hope i could help- (tell me how it turns out)
I think some beautiful eyeshadow color would be light green or blue. I started wearing make-up when I was 12 and it was fun but if you put on too much then it doesn't look good.
Only put eyeshadow on the lid. Don't smudge the mascara and easy on the eyeliner. It will look beautiful!
Use brown eyeliner and brown mascara. Liquid liner is for the top lid only and pencil can be used for both. For green eyes you should use a goldish or green eyeshadow Try going to the local drugstore and buying a few different colors and experimenting.
Eye shadows:
1. Hues of Purple
2. Gold-ish
3. Peach
Eye Liners:
1. Brown or Black
2. An eggplant color
Mascara:
1. Brown
2. Black
Lip gloss:
1. Shear pink
2. Clear
USE POWDER FOUNDATIONS!!! :D
Hope this helped! :D
I would not wear mascara if i were you but i do because i have long blonde eyelashes. i would use liquid liner on the top and bottom lid
