Take a look at the flecks in your eyes. If you have sort of gold flecks, purple would look good. If you have reddish flecks, greens would bring them out. Have both? Use either. The colors work because they contrast on color wheels, so it really brings those flecks out and makes them more noticeable. What color eyeliner or eyeshadow makes brown eyes pop?
Lucky for us, brown eyes can pretty much pull off any color we want. The trick isn't really the color, but the application. As far as eyeliner is concerned, don't use something that is jet-coal-black because that can be very harsh and actually make eyes recede. Also, excessively thick lines can also create that effect [we don't want that]. So just use a soft black and a nice medium-ish size line or a thinly smudged one.
Eyeshadow options are greatest for brown eyes. Purples tend to look universally good on all eye colors, especially browns. If you really want to them to pop, go outside during the afternoon with a mirror and see what other tones you have in your eyes. Caramels? Greens? Find a color that matches your undertones and that will really make your eyes pop.

Purples, Plums. I fought it for years, thinking purple sounded crazy, tried it, and looks really nice. I wear it even when wearing other colors. It just works.
Also... I have some green and gold in my eye color, but mostly brown.
black eyeliner/mascara with smokey eyeshadows . after you apply eyeliner, put black eyeshadow on the rims of your top lid %26amp; silver eyeshadow on the rest of your lid.
